Day 2: Some exporters of Delhi-NCR are improving their production systems and Dinesh Jain, Director of BP Impex, Noida is one of them. Dinesh was looking for servo motors and other attachments to enhance the production and decrease the cost. “Yes, market is reviving and we are improving ourselves specially to upgrade production systems,” said Dinesh to Team StitchWorld.
Day 2: Many technical persons and consultants visited the GTE on second day and shared their developments with Team StitchWorld. Anand Choudhary, Manager – Production, Mahajan Oversear, Panipat told that their company is getting very good orders in export as well as domestic for their brands Masper, Mahajan. The company recently moved out from garmenting.
Day 2: Socks are a hot product category in the domestic market as many existing players and the ones coming into this segment are growing very well. Aarkay Industries, Vijaywada supplying socks to Andhra Pradesh, wants to increase their production. G. Vijaya Krishna said, “Chinese machines are not so much productive, if we get machines according to our need we will definitely install new machines.” Currently the company has 18 machines.
Day 2: Vardhman Nisshinbo Garments Company Limited, Ludhiana is known for wrinkle free shirts with highly automated machines. Now the company is going for Veith Pinning Table to reduce labour dependency for the inspection of stripes and checks in shirts, told Yogesh Agnihotri, Executive Commercial (second from right) and Kapil Rudra, Sr. Manager – Operations (first from right). Day One saw visitors from as far as Surat. The city is emerging as a garmenting hub where companies in export and domestic are working well. Shashikant Jain, Director of Empoli Offset, Surat is supplying uniforms to more than 12 schools and is going for expansion. “We are a reputed name in school stuff like notebooks etc. giving us a strong network of more than 100 schools. As we started only a few months back, we are getting a tremendous response in uniforms business so we will install many new stitching machines soon,” says Shashikant who is having a small unit of 16 machines and depends mainly on job-work.
Domestic Garment manufacturers are happy with the announcement of Budget and expecting a good business in coming days. Pradeep Periwal of Elixir Unlimited and Sri Lakshmi Fashions, Ahmedabad who provide various kinds of value additions to the garment manufacturers do have the same opinion. The company has automatic screen, laser and inkjet printing and laser engraving, cutting machines. Pradeep told StitchWorld/Apparel Online, “Till now business was little slow but now it seems to go up, we are also planning to buy new machines.”
Praveen Kumar Singh of Rishit Industries, Lucknow makes menswear in his small unit. The company is planning to enhance production capacity in parts as the business is just reviving.

Inam H. Siddiqui (R), MD of Zeeta International, Kanpur is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company which deals into saddles, riding equipments and leather waist belts and was looking for non-Chinese machines. “Our competition is with China as Indian market is full with Chinese machines. Even Government is not helping us at any level. As far as GTE is concerned, even here I saw majority of Chinese machines and not Japanese or Koreans.”
Surya Corporations, a Delhi manufacturer of handkerchief, is planning to start undergarment manufacturing. Subhash Aggarwal of the company told StitchWorld that he talked to some circular knitting machine supplier in the Expo.
Kiran Rane (L) from Choura Web Tech, Jalgaon, manufacturing 15 tonnes of narrow fabrics (tapes) was unhappy as he did not find any special technology for narrow fabrics.
Simranjit Singh, Senior Production Executive, was in GTE with his team. He was of the opinion that US market is doing good. “Being a production person you have to be aware with the latest technology and GTE is the best for this purpose,” he told StitchWorld.
Wrecker Jeans & Casuals Pvt. Ltd. (WJCPL), Noida is another company going for expansion. “We have 300 stitching machines and planning to add 250 more machines. Although it is too early to say anything but we have good orders from Europe and domestic giant, so we will definitely produce more,” told R.P. Jain, Chairman of the company to StitchWorld.
Parth Apparels, Indore is working for Arvind, Madura and such other big companies. Currently the company has production capacity of 8,000 pieces a day and soon it will be 12,000 pieces per day. Ajay Pasari, Director of the company is enthusiastic with the orders coming from domestic market as now it is only 10% into export.
