Minimum wages in Delhi have once again increased, effective from 1st April. This time the wages have been increased by 6 per cent, applying both to clerical and non clerical staff as well. According to the new rates, minimum wage for the unskilled worker is now Rs. 7,722 which were earlier Rs. 7,254. Everyday wage is now Rs. 297 instead of Rs. 279. Semi-skilled workers will now get Rs. 9,386 against Rs. 8,814 earlier; their daily wage is now Rs. 361, an increased of Rs. 22 from previous Rs. 339.
