Many new opportunities are coming for Nigerian youth as India is gearing up to setup a textile training institute in Kaduna state, informed Dr. Milan Sharma, the Head of Africa Initiatives and Industry Research of IL&FS Cluster Development Initiative Limited and leading a delegation to Kaduna. The new institute would allow Nigerian youth to acquire latest skills in textile manufacturing and operating textile machines. To commence with, the institute would launch a six month training program with a batch size of 30 pupils, which would be expanded in future, the delegation said
Minimum wages in Delhi have once again increased, effective from 1st April. This time the wages have been increased by 6 per cent, applying both to clerical and non clerical staff as well. According to the new rates, minimum wage for the unskilled worker is now Rs. 7,722 which were earlier Rs. 7,254. Everyday wage is now Rs. 297 instead of Rs. 279. Semi-skilled workers will now get Rs. 9,386 against Rs. 8,814 earlier; their daily wage is now Rs. 361, an increased of Rs. 22 from previous Rs. 339.
